Anyone running Riva's boost bottle with there stock I-body carbs? I was wondering if this would be a good addition to my stage 2 boat or too much for it?

Also it says on there site to be used with Riva's reed stuffer and i was wondering if it would be ok to use the pro-tes stuffer that i already have?

Ads in the magazines say that they have 2 models, one that will work with OEM carbs and one with SBNs

Have you asked Riva about using the boost bottle on a Stage II?
I am currently using a Dominator with Novi modified "I" body carbs on my Stage II. When I talked to Riva and R&D about it all they could tell me was that the manifold wasnt designed for use with single pipe exhaust. I will be surprised if they have done any testing with a single pipe boost bottle combo.
Unfortunatly I put the manifold on at the same time as the head, reed stuffers and some other stuff so I dont know how much increase it gave me but it is a pretty quick boat. Best guage I have so far is a slightly modifed ultra that I can beat by about 3-4 boat lengths off the line.
Tuning the carbs was a pain in the @$$. I had some equipment problems to start off with but got it figured out and just put the finishing touches on it last night. Final jetting is pretty uncommon.
2.0 n/s 18 psi pop-off, 125 pilot, 125 main, 1 1/8 lows, 3/4 highs.

no i have not asked yet. They may not even be out yet... As soon as i hear something i will let ya know.. However i think it would be kind of silly for them to sell the boost bottle that is setup to run with the stock carbs if it can not be used on a stage 2 boat [Frown]

The problem is the height of the boost bottle. It may work with a Stinger III but will probably not work with the stock pipe.

I would guess that the majority of tripple pipe skis use the stock carbs. I think that is the target market for the boost bottle. Doesnt mean it wont work on a single pipe ski, but I know riva doesnt have time to test every posible engine combination.
Give it a try, if it doesnt give your ski better acceleration im sure someone with tripples will buy it from you.

Might have to get the R&D Dominator first since it will also be ready in 2 weeks and work with stock carbs...
