I'm trying to deal with my dealer on this issue. How many of you that have an FX140 have a problem with the craft leaning to one side when traveling around 25 - 35 mph? Just trying to get a count. THANKS!!!

I have about 10hrs on mine and have noticed what you are talking about. I always have had riders with me though and blamed it on that. I will follow up after I log some more hours on the FX140.

Spoke with my wife who rides the FX140 more than I do and she told me that it does lean.

Count me in on the lean to one side around 30 mph also. Kinda gotten used to it though.

Ever since the 99 XLT1200, all the Yamaha three seaters have the famous lean below 30mph (my neighbor sold his it bothered him so bad). Yamaha has tried different sponsons (they were a no cost upgrade on the XL1200) but they don't help and bleed some top speed. Most just learn to deal with it or drive over 30mph (not hard to do unless you're pulling tubers or young skiers).

My FX140 and my Gp1300 both lean at low speeds. On the 1300 I just don't go slow but I use the FX140 for taking little kids for rides and the lean or "chine walk" can be a bother. I had a SeaDoo GTX RFI before the FX140 and it had no lean. The SeaDoo also had much less V to the hull than the FX140 and didn't ride as well in rough water. From past boating experience a fix to a chine walk was allways a trade off. If a boat maker screwed up with a hull design you could put trim tabe on you boat to compensate. That caused more drag ect...
