cat is probably bad, very common problem. Shut er down before u suck the pcs into the engine. Put in a d plate, clean out your exhaust pipe from the manifold to thru the waterbox if any catcon pcs missing.

good luck.

RD a little different area of opening. Most go with RD. Dont forget the chip to fool the exh gas overtemp sensor.

jetski1234 -Did you find the cause of your problem?

The other day my 1300 would not break 5000 rpm, was non-responsive, yet was not really running rough or missing. I pulled plugs, checked about all the electrical connectors, watched the PV's (riding, seat off), had cooling water flow, etc. and basically, could not identify anything that I felt could be the culprit. After awhile it cleared up...which means it will probably return.

This ski has a D-plate, but there is a possibility that the problems are related. (your problem could be the Cat Con, or adversely, the problem could be something else...that also takes out the converter, by fouling it rather than the traditional disintegration.

Just wondering.

The "chip" to fool the electrical system is a 1000 ohm resistor. Radio Shack $0.30 item.
A cheap quick fis it to cut the wires to the sensor and use crimp links to connect the wires to to the resistor. Done.
