I'm a newbie here. I have a 2007 FX HO and just purchased the velocity stacks and flame arrestor. I am halfway into the installation of the velocity stacks and the instructions are over my head. (I'm not too mechanically inclined!) Are there any issues if I just cut a notch in the one stack so it fits around the bypass motor valve? I'm afraid if I pull out the throttle bodies to remove the OEM bracket I'll never get it all back together right. Thank you!
Dont worry just get a few beers(takes away the fear of tearing into your new ski) Pull it all apart and keep everything orderly and you shouldnt have any problems. Just dont accidently kick your tools into the lake like I did, or better yet dont do it around water!!! LOL
DO NOT MODIFY THE VELOCITY STACKS!!! Please contact our tech support rep before proceeding. He can be reached directly by calling 954-247-0705.
BTW - You really should consider purchasing a Service Manual. I do my best when writing our installation instructions. But, having the additional information can be helpful when you're new to a certain model or the sport altogether.
