I have a stage 2 boat minus the head turning a speedfreaks 14/20 depitched.
I was wondering if a Riva pump gas head (150psi) will bring my rev's up or down? I am still waiting for the heads in the mail and was just curious?? Thanks...a.j |

My experience was that the rev's stayed the same but you get there much faster.

You may see a rise in rpms due to more torque, with LESS deto, with the higher compression head.

I gained 50 RPM when I added my Riva milled OEM pump gas head.

I friend I ride with that has the 14/20 island depitched and picked up rpms after he installed a pump gas compression head on his GPR. I believe he is now running 7080 max rpm with the top loader, riva plate-skegs removed, sponsons stepped and Riva trim tabs. His 02 GPR runs strong and he is very satisfied from the change that the compression provided on his ski. I am fairly sure he increased 75 to 100 rpm after the install. |
