I have a 2000 GP1200R that is having issues. It happened at the end of last season and Im not getting ready to figure out the issue. Hit the start button and the starter spins briefly (motor does not crank) then it starts beeping for about 15 seconds. Any help on what my troubleshooting steps should be? It does have cat removed adn bypass sensor. Fresh top end last year but it sits stock. Thanks

first thing is to see what icon is flashing when it beeps. And you need to check the basics, fuel, fires and battery

If the motor does not turn over, but the starter spins, its the Bendix.

Now for some reason when I pulled the pipe out I have oil sitting in the bottum of the hull? I dont believe it was there before hand. Any ideas on this one. I traced all oil lines and they were fine.

Take a good look at the top of the cover, mine has just done the same and the mount where the 2 bolts hold the exaust have cracked away from the top half of the crankcase and there was a crack inside towards the base of the cylinder, water was coming thru and the bendix had jammed, that is the cheapest fix, my cases are trash, suspect the weight of the exaust with the Riva heads and no support bracket as fitted to stock head.
