Hydro, i snapped the 10mm bolt off inside the plate that tightens the pump to the transom plate.Were the factory water inlet goes through.Tried to drill it out but the bit wandered off ond took some meat of the plate,made it oblong.

Woody...fill it with JB cold weld....ya know the putty...mix in in your little fingers push it in and rub it off with a wet finger...to smooooth it some....

Let it dry and tap that hole again ....and again if ya want

Put a bigger bolt in it if ya have too..if yours is not big enough....

Sounds like you are looking for something permanent. I'm saving this one as a backup. I'd try the ol' JB first. If that doesn't work, pull it off and try to heat it, and put it in a drill press to remove it.

Have you considered a "B" plate from R/D?

Wood if ya get the B-plate you have to get the whole kit...it is designed to match the pump shoe on the kit....


I say JB it and drill and tap it...$10 bucks and your shredding...
