Hi I have the riva rec heads on my gp1200r. I am supposed to be using the stock br8es-11 plug. I have noticed that when I am changing my plugs that the gap is smashed closed. It wasnt like this with my stock head. Any ideas?

sounds like the crank rod beaing has failed - this allows the piston to travel farher than it is supposed to

if I am right the motor needs to come out and be rebuilt

It's highly unlikely the piston hit the plugs because of the shape of the domes. Detonation could be causing this. What grade/type of fuel are you using?

Pull the heads and inspect the pistons. If there is any pitting in the pistons then you know your motor is detonating; in a bad way.
