Had my 1300r out today in the bay and was able to find a race. Came across a 98 GP1200 with 154 hours on it, completely stock. Had me by inches off the line, but was no match midrange to topend. Just thought I'd post this since I have been less then supportive to my 1300. Ofcourse ole reliable here(99GP1200) will never allow the 1300 to beat it short distance! P.S. The TDR Waterbox is a thumbs up as far as I'm concerned. Didnt lose anything topspeed judging by the dreamometer which has been reading 78mph. ![[Eek!]](eek.gif) , but I can feel a difference in the midrange area. As far as sound goes it is not overloud like I thought it might be. It still needs the freeflow and the cat to be ripped out. I'm sure it will be screaming loud then, but my 991200 with the TDR on it, is much louder.

rhino- the pump plug kit and sealing the pump will enhance reliability. a new impeller and 87mm pump will have absolutely no affect on reliability. you will also want to put on http://waveeaterproducts.com clips and couplers on the powervalves. typically once you start messing around with engine mods is when you can sarcifice reliability. you have to know what you are doing or else you can do damage. keep in mind that engine mods will also void your manufacturers warranty. mike- i'm in love with my 1300! ![[Eek!]](eek.gif) running a constant 64.5 on the GPS. i can't wait for MODS!!!! ![[Cool]](cool.gif)

Greg, I hate to say it but I am to starting to get a little closer with my 1300. I can honestly say that today was the first day I really enjoyed it. I have 6 hours on it now, so maybe it is starting to wake up a little for me. It felt fast today!! It didnt teh first 5 hours of riding, but now it really does feel fast. I am changing my comments on this ski from previous posts, however I still believe it lacks box stock acceleration, the upside potential for this ski is awesome, and I to cant wait to get those Modifications on.

Where have you been?? Did you just get out of Vietnam?? The same boat that is on Riva's website, is the same boat that was on ebay not even a year ago for sale with a reserve set at $39500. Came with a certificate of authenticity stating that it was the world record speed holder at 87.5mph. I doubt that Riva and so many others would post such a false statement, but if they did let me know and I'll send my lawyer down there and sue teh sh$t out of every1 for false advertisement. Mid to low 70's. Here is a a boat doing 85.1mph85.1mph

2quick- if you want better holeshot, best thing you could do it get a pump plug kit, seal the pump, get the 87mm pump, and a 13/19 prop. also add the waveeater powervalve clips and couplers. http://www.waveeaterproducts.com they won't add anything to perfomance, but they'll give you some piece of mind! everything above will set you back under $500 and make a big difference. also, i know my dealer had a deal on the solas 13/19 impeller and the pump as a package. he was selling those two together for $299.
