my jet-ski has a brand new motor with just 20 some odd hours, i have stage 2 done to it and im very dissapointed with the results. and 2 years have gone by and yamaha nor msd have made an ignition councal for the 1300r. i am now only seeing speeds of 72-74 on speedo. and a stock 1300r (2004) model with just a prop and a pump and beats me top end. and i have 3 washers under each end of the ride plate to stop it from purposing, and the trim is below nuetral. yet it still bounces even on flat water. what could be wrong.

My ski posted help with Grapics http://rivaforums.com/eve/forums?a=tpc&s=6446095904&f=4886094314&m=188102309 Is a gp1300r 03, it has FULL stage 2, Drop NOzzle, mech flaps etc. I was very dispointed with this also i could only get 6500rpm top end and on a GARMIN GPS it only showed 64.8 MPH I played around and around with the EFI box i got it to run smooth and it felt fast. When i got my 04 Riva Ltd Edition its much quicker i noticed the settings on the EFI were different. Glenn at R-D suggested the PROP ( i think it was a 14-21S/B Solas). I was told to check around the intake i did and found no probs. I will say that a set of M16 Reeds and manifold certainly did livern it up . R-D said to go and take the powercore out cos you loose 1,000 rpm or 1mph with it. No worries ive stripped my o4 and put the stage 2 on there, got to wait and see Oh and i use STOCK FUEL INJECTION |

Get those washers out of the rideplate and step the sponsons as was said. If you're using a power core, get rid of it and put in a D plate and pick up a lot of rpm's. You stated that you washered both ends of the plate. By washering the front of the plate it will make it porpoise more and if you have the front of the plate washered so that it's hanging down below the pump shoe you are scrubbing a lot of speed.
