Hi Rc, is there any stage 2 or stage 3 package you can offer for the fzr or sho engine that can fully maximize the potential of the engine and maintaining to use pump gas? if ever we need to change the wheel and the ecu? Thank you.

To take "full" advantage of the SHO engine you will need to switch to race gas (VP). But that won't be an every day set up. It will be for racing specifically.
Our Stage II & III Kits will run on premium pump gas and provide plenty of power and performance without sacrificing reliability. Our ECU will come with one map that will work for Stock Class through Stage III modifications and we will offer other maps as well. I will be sure to post when our Stage II & III Kits are ready to be released. Here's a link to a very special and unique build up we are working on which should give us an idea of what the SHO engine is capable of producing. Click here. We hope to get the engine on the Dyno real soon so we can post some numbers which will blow your mind! RIVA CREW Please post and ride responsibly!!! |

Hi Rc,
Any update on the stage 3 kit? What setup would you suggest if I want to get a E1 supercharger wheel? I am assuming the riva vipec ecu and wideband controller as well should come with it. And the power cooler as well with the blow off valve kit. Would I need the fuel regulator and do i need to change the injectors? Plus, on the riva ecu, with the lambda controller, I would not need to tune it anymore right with the temperature here and water temperature etc.? It is just plug and play with that set up? I hope I got it correct here. Sorry for my ignorance. I would like to make the most out of my sho engine and still using pump gas and I can use it every week without sacrificing reliability. Please help me out Rc. I want my ski to be the fastest and yet reliable on long runs as well and offshore racing. |

We're nearly complete with the ECU Instructions. Just double-checking them before we begin shipping this week. Here's a list of the required engine mods for our Stage III Kit:
You are not required to change the fuel injectors or the fuel pump. The Fuel Pressure Regulator Kit will provide enough fuel for our kit. The LC-1 Lambda Controller is not required with the kit. It's more of a tool for pro tuners (racers) who are making their own maps or for help in diagnosing a problem. When combined with the right pump and handling modifications you can expect to run about 80mph on 91~93 octane pump fuel all day long! For both closed course and offshore racing I strongly recommend a few more engine upgrades that will improve reliability.
Get in touch with one of our parts representatives for more detailed information on the above recommendations. They can be reached at (800) 241-4544 or (954) 785-2684. This message has been edited. Last edited by: RIVA CREW, RIVA CREW Please post and ride responsibly!!! |

Testing is going well. We're getting really good numbers (speed, rpm & boost). I can't go into detail about the kit contents yet. I hope to be able to release more info soon.

Hi Rc,
Just a few more quetions to ask, is it possible for a e1 wheel with power cooler kit run and use a stock ecu? also, for a e1 wheel and power cooler kit and stuff, if we buy a motec ecu, can we just plug and play it or we need maps for that? thanks rc. |

Yes, you will need an aftermarket ECU when running our E1 Supercharger Impeller and Power Cooler Kit. We're working on an alternate solution, but until we've completed testing that is your only option. Our E1 impeller and Power Cooler produce more boost than the stock ECU is capable of compensating for by itself.
With the MoTeC ECU you must provide your dealer with a detailed list of your modifications, boost, fuel type and the kind of riding you plan to do. Your dealer will then provide you with a map specific to your needs. With our RIVA/Vi-PEC ECU we offer a "Primary" Base Map that you download from our ECU Manager Web Site which covers everything up to our Stage III/Limited Class Kit running up to 17lbs of boost on 91 octane unleaded pump fuel. If you are running a more aggressive package or using race fuel you would simply download an alternate map from our ECU Manager Web Site. We offer two different IJSBA "Stock Class" Base Maps as well. And, we can even provide you with a custom base map for a minimal fee. It will depend upon your requirements. Just let us know. RIVA CREW Please post and ride responsibly!!! |

Hi Rc, just found out that rnd is reprogramming stock ecu. i already got your e1 wheel and a 13/25 impeller. and your stage 1 kit for my fzr. is it possible to use the rnd reprogramed ecu for e1 supercharger and intercooler setup? if it is what programming?
also, what is a good dual prop pitch for the e1 wheel with your intercooler? thank you. |

I don't think so. We weren't involved with the development, but going by their press release you could try to use their R2 or R3, but it wouldn't be to full potential. Our E1 impeller puts out up to 16psi of boost at 8,000rpm. You will more than likely experience surging from the boost limiter (15psi) R&D has in place. In weather like we're having now boost could be even higher than 16psi!
With our Stage III Kit we're recommending our 160mm pump package. It consists of our RIVA/Skat 13/23 swirl impeller and our 160mm Wear Ring. RIVA CREW Please post and ride responsibly!!! |
