Could I order an ECU speced out for a non L Mode waverunner and eliminate that feature totally?

I've determined that it is highly unlikely you will be able to switch out ECU's without have a problem. This is due to variances in programming between the models. And, with their being a no return policy on electrical parts there's no way to test it out. Sorry...

Well I some time on my hands this weekend. I pulled the ECU out of my '07 FX HO that doesn't have the L Mode lockout and installed it into my '06 FX Cruiser. It fired right up. It still thought it was installed in my FX HO so it showed 38 hrs and the fuel economy display just showed - - -. That's all fine with me. Now all I need is another NON L Lode ECU. What do you seell them for? Hopefully not the outrageous $1,000+ MSRP.
