115p 95m.
that seems very lean. Is that right? dav_dman@yahoo.com, used 04 rxp and B1 on the xmas list. 04Honda F12X at home, 02 in stpete, both boosted a bit. 97 venture1200 for sale soon. |

At first I thought so too, for some reason, that is not the case. Still sorting out little things though, then I will get to the lows.

Coop,
Are you running a return jet? Mark http://www.hydrotoys.com 2000 GP1500R 4tecSC S3 2002 GP1500R CF 4tecSC Turbo 2004 Polaris MSX 4tecSC S3 2002 Octane |

Hydro- with that setup I had a 100 restricter. My fuel pressure though seemed too high though. It was at 9 pounds and I don't want to run lean. Not saying that I was but I did want to bring down the fuel pressure and so today I had to experiment. My top rpm was 7130 Today at the lake I put in a 130 restricter to bring down the pressure and also put in a 105 main to compensate. The pressure did go down to 7, but more importantly, my rpms really did not suffer. Today it was at 110. David, I did this with the powervalve disconnected using lowels powerevalve. Thought you were going to call bud!!! Ragged, I have a ported BB w/ported crankcse using a custom reed spacer. Different carbs and boats use different jetting specs. I also had larger main jets utilizing stock carbs. According to my engine builder, my engine flows a lot of air and w/ the 48 novis, my boat should come up out of the water and rip through the water. We are almost there. Now that I have ok top rpm, but I do know I will gain more, I am going to work on the lows to have the boat come up and go like it should.

Way to go coop!
Better wait on lows till you get the right PVs. I am going to try 125 mains, 115 pilots, 95 springs, 2.0 NS & 177.5 restrictors. Just praying it's not too lean for triples. Kingwood @ 10AM on Friday? Red Ski - 2000 ported 1300 single piper Blue Ski - 2001 ported 1300 triple piper |

with 80g 105m 115p 2.0 my boat ran a best of 72.7. Now I will change to 95g 95m 125p 2.0 and see the rpm diff. and also see if my low end cleans up.

Changes were 95g 95m 125p 2.0 100fr lows set at 1 1/2,High 1 1/8, cleaned up low end greatly and speed yeild today of 74.4 on low fuel. Maybe if someone else has a BB W/Novi 48, they try this setting.
