I orderd a 13/18 Solas Concord prop from here and got it today so I went to install it. I took out the factory one on my '99 1200XL LTD and when i put the new one in it was hitting the jetpump unit...I even tried to screw it in just to see if it would clear the high spots if it were in its set position, but no luck......any ideas?

Your 99 came with the thin impeller housing which 110% guaranteed to have "bubbled" up and now its hitting your new impeller--- IT MUST BE REPLACED! or you will ruin your new impeller--- Do a pump seal while your at it or youll cavitate your new impeller also.

k, have it all back together and fixed. Went out of Wantagh park today and my top speed via speedo was 64MPH!!! I know everyone says its no really 64 unless verified by radar, gps, etc...but i figure it like this:

before any of my changes the fastest i ever got the speeo to say was 60 (flat surface, 1/8 tank gas, one rider (170lbs)). This time I had a full tank of gas, same rider and easily hit 60-62 and maxxed out at 64 in semi flat water...in the flats i was only able to stay steady at 62. Either way I'm sold!
