I am removing the stock carbs from my GP1200R, and even with the manual I am not sure how many bolts are holding it on. I thought 6 bolts held it, according to the manual.

i have removed the 4 on the rack and the other 6(2 per carb on top....right?) Does the linkage bracket on the front of the rack have to come off too. I am trying to pry the rack off with the carbs on but do not want to pull too hard....i cannot get them to unseat.

Set you should only have to remove the 10 bolts plus all linkage and it should come right off. There should actually be no force needed. It should fall off from the actual weight of the carbs themselves.

part # 6 are the 6 bolts

you are trying to remove all 3 carbs and the rack in one piece

Pat is right it should just fall off, if it isn't you probably haven't removed the correct bolts - don't pry
