Had a good time today. Met some guys from this forum and man no one ever looks the way you have them pictured Big Grin Watersport Productions put on a d*amn good race. There was pretty good turnout for the endurance race. I would say about 15 boats at the line.

Pat, thanks for all of your help today and thanks to Sandy for the gas and gatorade Big Grin Dana thanks for building this boat for me! My Jettrix R2 ran awesome today. WOT for 90 minutes without so much as a hiccup. If I could ride this thing I would be dangerous. Finished third. Is there anything better than the smell of race gas??

Danny glad to see that you got your 3rd place finish. That was definitely a good race today with ideal conditions. Good to also see Mario, Carl and finally meet Bill Cosca.

Hopefully by race 3 we will have the lost bolt issue resolved and this darn Gremlin that came back again . So lets see this race it was 2 more bolts, Pet2500 tach that never made it to shore after I threw it and the bracket that goes with it and the mount.

Hope you had a good ride home and talk to you later on this week. Oh yeah thank you for the room last night. The 1 hour of sleep last night and the 2 hour nap on the way home sure feel good. Ready to run another race. Big Grin

Great finish Danny..

How far were 1st and 2nd ahead of you?

Do you know how many laps you covered and the distance of each lap??

Those that placed in front of you..did they have GPR's and how were they equiped?

Did you run a tach to check your rpms while running WOT for the event?

Hows the muscles feeling today? Aleve works well during and after endurance racing.

Good job Danny.
Peter Nowak aboard a WppRacing XL1200ltd finished 2nd in the 1200 limited class. Peter finished 1st at Colonial Beach and now 2nd at Beasley Point.
A missing gas can (someone picked it up by mistake , I know who did it )cost him another 1st place. Keep up the good riding and be safe. Big Grin

Brian yeah Harold was saying that he fealt really bad. I guess it was a mis understanding of the guy he was there with thinking that it was Harolds can.

Thanks guys Big Grin Brian is Peter tall with a shaved head? If so he was helping us put my ski on the trailer and I heard him mention that he had a gas can missing. I was right behind Peter late in the race and I could not get around him for the life of me Smile

MD I don't know how many laps I completed. The boat that won was a gpr. I'm not sure what he had for mods. I did not have much time to hang around after the race unfortunately Frown The track was good sized with a little closed course s turn at the end of each lap. I had my tach but did not get to look at it much. I am very sore today..haha I feel like an 80 year old man. It was a lot of fun though. My 3 goals were to make it the 90 minutes, avoid any unexpected get offs, and see what happened as far as placing. I am happy overall. My boat is fast, I just need to get stronger and faster in traffic..lol!!

so I take it your going to value your youth and never ridicule the older generation for being slow??

When is the next event? going to give CC a try?

I'm curious on how much fuel you added on your pit stop?..that is to the GPR and not quenching your thirst..LOL

Danny ,
Thats Peter. He stopped by tonight and told me about the race. He saw Pat play superman and hit the water. He looked behind him and there he went.
I told Peter to LABEL the gas cans.

Mike,
I am just a few years shy of veterans class myself so I'm no spring chicken Big Grin I was wishing I was about 22 again. I put 10 gallons in at my pit stop but in hindsight I did not need that much. I am only racing endurance this season. Are you racing this season? Good luck if you do.

Danny
I am already in the Veteran class but I do like to compete with those in the younger age bracket.

I am currently and have been for the last 5 months nursing an injury to the lateral femoral nerve. This injury basically is a painful condition attributed to entrapment or injury to the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve at the site where the nerve leaves the pelvis. I've been on alot of meds from a vicoden / ibuprofen mix to a new one that aids in subsiding the effects while the nerve heals. Basically, I have a dull ache, itching, numbness, tingling, or burning sensation over the lateral and anterolateral thigh. The pain associated with this condition can vary in intensity from mild to very severe and frequently occurs following activity with relief following rest. (copied from medical reports since this explains the diagnosis better than I can) It is called Meralgia Paresthetica.

Generally I'm out on my road bike by now riding 25 miles a night but I am forced to tap on this keyboard instead of getting some exercise.

I'd like to at least do the one endurance race we have you our region during mid summer. That is if this nerve injury has healed completely.

That is why I made the comment about valuing your youth.. I am beginning to miss that more than anything especially with this injury most likely caused from repetitive high rep squats done over the winter months.

Thanks Charlie. I won't be at the Ocean City race on the 2nd. Just so you know there is NOT going to be endurance racing on the 2nd.

MD sorry to hear about the injury.

MD can you explain what the problem is again but this time in ENGLISH. What was that Doctor talk all about. I hate it when they use it on me so please refrain from using it again... Big Grin Big Grin

Now I have to go take 2 asprin and lay down to get my head on straight again.

Brian so Peter then I will take it like my ejection.. The only good thing I think is that the water was only like 3 ft. deep there.. All of a sudden I go to get on the boat and I am touching ground. I guess I should of looked for my Pet 2500 tach that I threw when I was in the area. Oh well guess that is why I have a spare I guess. Hey do you know if Peter is going to be in Wildwood? He has a good boat for endurance..

Danny hope your muscles feel better today. Big Grin If you want to get together next weekend maybe I will take a ride down to the Cape with Sandi and Melissa and we can practice in the surf. I will call you tonight or tomorrow night.

Hey Pat, a ride to the cape sounds like fun, you mind if I jump on the bandwagon? Oh BTW, how about getting a PFD for your accessories (ie: Tach, GPS........) Big Grin

OK I'll shut up now
