Im looking to get more performance the cheap way first. I want to do my mods. one at a time to get base line numbers for each addition. Right now all I have done is replace the resonater in the exhaust, my stock box melted (dont ask). On my lake right now Im consistant at 63 to 64, Garmin GPS at around 6950 to 7025 rpms. I want to do the prop. last for test purposes only. I want to start with simple bolt-ons and go from there. This way I know what each mod has given me! Any ideas how I should start!

PPK(seal the pump),intakegrate, rideplate, prop, exit nozzle,.there seams to be alot of potential from just these mods before ever having to lift the seat.what state are you in your rpms seam low.

I live in Tampa, Fl. Water con. is mostly glass to about 1' chop very calm even with alot of boats on lake. Yeah I have been looking at the Stage 1 & 2, but it seems like theirs more then I need in does packages. Looking to go one mod at a time to see each result independent of each other. Yeah my RPM's do seem alittle low to me also but the tach I was using didnt seem very reliable. The skis tach was showing around 7250 on does runs. I really would like more of a holeshot than just top end or both if possible. But I still want to go one mod. at a time. Not as a package!

just an idea, there has been so much development done on the 1200 / 1300 ski that there is really no longer any need to try one item at a time to ensure it works, if your get the right advice you can get a complete set-up which includes nothing but proven parts

I just got off the phone with Carl at Islandracing.net he has his 1300 flying - for flat water riding, that clearly is his expertise, I would suggest you give him a call and tell him how much $ you want to spend

I would think you would want something like
seal pump and PPK
1200 nozzle
Riva plate, get skegs removed
1200 or maybe 800 Riva grate (800 grate will cavitate more from a dead stop)
maybe Riva trim tabs too
I cut Solas 14/20 prop depitched to XX/XX

if you want to spend more than you might consider some of Riva's engine parts

Call me stupid but what are the skegs on the ride plate, what does removing them do?

if you look at a Riva rideplate you will see them on the bottom, they are sorta like fat stubby rudders

removing them reduces drag thus you go faster

What if its for choppy conditions? what parts would provide better performance in this case? Does 1300 traction control helps much, or on contrary, in real world, it only slows ski down?

As per above except, In rough water I wouldn't include the Riva rideplate
Instead I'd
- use stock rideplate
- step stock sponsons
- add R&D trim tabs
- add (3 degree) XL pump nozzle

this is based on my experience with a 1200

Just for your ski's protection. You should atleast do the following first and then start adding parts if thats the way you want to do it.
  • Pump Plug Kit (PPK)
    Replace the CAT
    Powervalve clips
