Pull the stinger section of the exhaust off and take a look inside. Take about 30 mins to have the answer!

if the exhaust warning light ever came on the cat is probably bad. Also you can easliy remove the temp sensor. if it is bent that means the cat broke and hit it, if it's straight, all is well for now.

Warning light may never some on. Mine didnt and several others I ahve seen. Only true way is to put your eyes on it. Only way to do that is pull that stinger section. Sometimes the human eye works better than electronics!

Hey Todd,

I need to get the C-plate installed in my GPR prior to the first enduro race in March. How difficult is the process of installing it?

I don't want to worry about a cat con failure in the middle of the Gulf!

Not hard at all. Pul the stinger section out of the boat. Pull the 6 bolts holding the pipe together at the center flange. Make sure you loosen or remove the bottom pipe mounting bracket. Split the pipe, put the c plate in. Make sure you go get some copper base sealant and lightly coat all the surfaces. Put them back together. Put the pipe back in. You will have to fine tune the high speed screws a little to compensate for the increased flow through the stock pipe now though. If your tamper caps arent removed yet, you have to get them off as well. Whole process will take lil more than an hour to complete the install. Make sure you loctite everything when you reassemble. Feel free to email me if you need more info.

Thanks Todd. How much "tweaking" of the high speed screws is necessary? A bunch, or just a little?
