I saw it the only way I could - a joke teasing Mario. If it upset you Mario, I sincerely apologize...
Remember that jet ski run around Manhattan you guys were gonna do after 9-11? Are you still gonna do that? Maybe next month would be a good time.

Ray, the only problem I had was that I made the comment that the cylinders could be honed, and I mentioned who did mine, which is what the poster asked, and I got "don't send your GPR there"......so what if that's who did them.....the point was that they could be honed.... Just cuz Fercho has a hard on for them is irrelevant to the subject.....he started it, not me......... like, that place can't do **** ......which isn't the case......the work they did for me was exceptional......case closed read the posts....I was trying to contribute meaningful information and this is what I get....and to think I respected all jetski enthusiasts, regardless of manfacturer....this is bull****....

LSU TIGER you were just trying to contribute meaningful info and SO WAS FERCHO! This is a public forum so people are going to have differances of opinion. Fercho does not have "a hard on" for them he was just offering information on work he has seen them do to a gpr.
You recommended them and Fercho stepped in with photos to prove why he does not recommend them. Around here that is know as being helpful. You seem to be the one with the "hard on" for WCOT because you are freakin out in there defense. Why? You had good results from them and Fercho did not. Lets call it at that and move on. The only thing that is b*ull**** around here is you getting in a hissy fit because someone else does not recommend the same shop you do.

May I ask one question? OK, I own 2 Kawasakis and a Yamaha. WCOT did excellent work on my skis. 70 mph with stock parts is pretty **** good, even you guys got to admit that. Some of you guys should of caught on that I knew to much not to own a ski, but you all were such in the defense of Fercho, you all though it was some one who didn't own skis. OK, if and only if WCOT did mess up on the gpr, is he the only company that messed up a gpr. Didn't someone off of this forum just buy a SUPERSTOCK from some one who is supposed to be the man for Yamahas and he is not to satisfied, but because of reasons he is not bringing it out in the public. So it looks like you also have some body who messed up a Yamaha and he is world famous. I will let it go at this because it could turn out into another 150 post defense. And Fercho if nobody else would of jump in and tried to take your cause it would of not been fun. If half of the ones who were trying to come to your cause would know half of what you know they would have some fast gprs(LOL).

See I told you that Mario would take care of it Elf dude. Sometimes it takes someone with mechanical skills to be able to tell when something is wrong. It seems to me that your level of these skills are not there since you are having someone else do your work. Even I am not a mechanic by trade I know enough to be able to look and make an inmediate opinion on this subject and take action to correct it if necessary. You cant judge what you dont know. If he did a great work for yo that it's great, but on David's case the job performed was undesirable. WCOT integrity is questionable IMO based on the outcome of the conversation that David and his owner had before the first race (I based my opinion on the information given to me by David). But I will not bring that to this forum. My recommendation to David was take him to court. But he doesn't want the hassle. I hate to see people who dont know much be taken advantage of, and that was IMO the issue in this case. Fercho

Danny,
I wasn't recommending them, I just said that they did mine, which meant they could be done......now I wish all I had said was that I just go mine honed, so I know it can be done!
I got to put the first tank through here since I put it all back together this week and she's running smoother than I can ever remember!

Fercho, I guess I didn't go in enough details. I sent him the stuff and he did the machine work and I reinstalled every thing back on. Kind of like when some one puts on aftermaket parts I guess. I honestly can do more than put gas and oil in it. I own a raider 1100, so you know I had to do work on it in the last few years.

I have season passes to Bannana Bend on the San Jacinto River......so that's where I go to ride every Sunday.......If you would like to meet up that would be great, we can have a beer or two, and maybe make amends for our little squabble for which I apoligize....I'm really a cool guy, and love jetskis.....any brand.....I ride an Ultra but still love them all the same......went out with my buddy today and his 2001 GPR.....stock he got 62.1 on my GPS and he's about 230 lbs......pretty good speed.......I'm at the end of breaking in new pistons and rings. I've installed the Wiseco's and so far they are solid, the engine sounds smoother than before.

Good luck with the Wiseco's. Let them warm up very well before you open full throttle. No prob, Lets just put that krap behind. I will be heading to Somerville tomorrow but we can hook up next week for sure. I have never been to Banana Bend. Will have to settle for a Coke. dont drink beer Fercho [ 08-04-2002: Message edited by: Fercho ]

Have fun at Sommerville.....as for the Wiseco's.....I've done my homework, and what you just mentioned is the main thing everybody talks about........ I start the ski on the trailer and let run while holding my hand on the cylinders, and wait until I feel them get warm......about 15 - 30 seconds.....then once in the water I have to idle through no wake zone for 10 minutes until I can break idle, then I run at medium throttle for a minute or two before really getting on it..... you know what they say..."have a coke and a smile" Peace
