Many of us can only use our PWCs for 4 or 5 months a year. Wouldn't a warranty similar to provided for cars be more appropriate than the current offerings?
My warranty just expired (one year) and I have ridden only 65 hours. I feel that 100 hours or two years, whichever comes first, would be much more reasonable. My warranty was effectively only about 6 months long. No way am I going to pay over $800 for an extended warranty so that when the engine lets go I can be told that it was my fault and they won't be covering the rebuild. I bought the Yamaha for quality and reliability, none of which I'm experiencing. What kind of company dedicated to quality releases a boat that cavitates as much as the GPR? |

personally i feel the warranty shoudl be done by hours since thats what is considered mileage on a ski. the warranty shoud be 100-200 hours with a 3 year time limit.
