Call Yamaha and tell them they have some nerve for putting this same cancer on the market and not curing it for the past 6 years. Then fax them a Bill of Sale for the STXR you just bought.
Hope this helps.

Sell your yamaha, Anytime you have to fix a stock motor set up somethings wrong, Yamaha should be ashamed to sell a motor and waverunner you have to fix. Lets see, Starting with the pump plug so you dont burn up your prop, aftermarket clips for the power valves, I dont see how it ever made it on the market for sale. And still yamaha sells this boats and gets away with this, Well i guess if everybody does nothing about this they will keep on selling defected waverunners. Oh and theres a crank issue also look out for that one later down the lake. Some last some dont its a gamble. Good luck. And if you need warranty work look out it takes months for approval, Still waiting on my warranty approval on crank and crank bearings also has a lot to do with how good your dealer is and his service some dealers are slow. Just like the one i got. I'll be back on the water by july maybe.

You forgot 1 thing...
What about the Cat conv. Its got plenty of problems and they think the addition of more holes is going to help. What ever happened to testing these things before they go on the market. What??, they put some kid from the Ronald Mcdonalds foundation on one in a lake, and if it lasts 2 hours they call it a success. What a joke!!, and I'm sorry I happened to be 1 of the pigs sucked in.

I'm going to talk to a attorney on monday about my motor, all i want is my money back its been six weeks now and i havent heard a word from yamaha or the dealer. So if all this is taking six weeks it will be another six just putting it all back together and thats the scarey part my parts are over the shop some in a box some on the bench. Buy a yamaha, bring it home in a box yamaha the movie. With all this time i have i could build the motor my self three or four times. You know the dealer wont put it back together right. All my dealer is intrested in is money not helping the customer. They made me sign a paper saying i would pay if yamaha didnt before they would send the parts to yamaha. Thats why i hate dealers they there just money hungry, helping the customer is aways first with my carpet cleaning co. Its sunday a lady just called about there kids spilled chocolate milk on the carpet, So i help out my customers and sunday is my only day off. but i help my customers i treat them like i would want to be treated. Not telling her i'll be there in six weeks maybe more i have to get approval so hold tight. I'm gone to clean seeya.

You are so right. I clean carpets to, I own a CHEMDRY. Cant tell you how many times I have gone back to due redos just because that is the nature of how business should be run. Was it my fault, rarely, but to keep them happy and to get them calling me next year, it is what I did at no charge$$$. I couldnt agree with you more.

well what can I say, even though I didnt start this topic to go this way, I might say that its not just Yamaha way of doing business, repeating obvious bugs over and over. Sadly, but true.
So if it turned out this way. What are other bugs GPRs have and fixes to prevent them? PVs, CatCon, ....

A pump which is a " Must to be sealed "

What is the impellar liner. Is this part of the SMC hull at the very back where the alunimum transom plate mates up, in front of the prop? I have a whole there. I fixed with wrong resin. Dealer said a rock got in there and did damage. I don't believe it. Decided to make an insurance claim in distant hope that the boat will be totaled. I am going to try to be a great salesman when the inspector comes this week. I would love to give up my $500 deductible to get out of Yamaha business. If I am stuck with this boat, I want a d plate so that I do not have to buy Yamaha oil. DO not want them to have anymore of my money.
