I don’t understand why there are a few guys here who continue to bash Yamahas... I mean if i don’t like something i sell it. Yamaha makes a real nice ski. Sure there are some defects but so do the others. God him self did not make this ski therefore it's not perfect.

I have owned 4 sea-doos and now have a 01 gpr1200 and love it. In fact i have not taken the sea-doo out of the garage since the yami moved in.

Just cause a small percentage of people or having troubles with there ski, does no make them junk no matter which model you have. These skis are high performance 2 strokes remember? which are not the most reliable motors to began with no mater who designs them. These motors are high output engines and require maintenance period.

If your not happy with you ski, then get rid of it, don’t post a negative reply @ every change you can find when others are tying to better there knowledge.

Not meant for any one person, just the girls who continue to whine over and over.

mxvet1 is right, you're experiencing the dreaded GPR chine walk. Basically the chines have created enough lift at that speed (25-28 MPH) to raise one side of the boat out of the water, but not both, so it swaps back and forth. An aftermarket ride plate will help some, trimming up and getting more weight to the front of the ski (evening out the lift) will help as well. But, the best thing to do is accelerate out of it!

think about it this way guys...every boat will chine walk if you push it fast enough..if you watch the small outboard cigarrettes, or even the big ocean cats..when they get going really fast they chine back and forth...Be glad our boats do it at 20 ( my Gp does it too around that speed), and not at 70!!!!!
