After blocking off 99-xlt1200 oil pump what else should I do.
What about the point where the oil lines meet the carbs should I plug and or cover the place where the oil lines meet the carbs with the correct line type cover plugs?
The slip on cover type.
If this does not get done could this cause a vacuum leak and or lean condition if I just leave the lines laying there.

When you buy the oil block-off plate, there will be plugs to put on the carbs with it. Your also going to want to wire tie the oil gage sending unit up. (as if tank were full)
