Woot! Don't have to worry about those pesky power valves anymore. Very nice product. I had to shave mine down with a dremel tool a little bit to get them to fit.

What part of the clip required the dremel?

The inner part of the clip where the power valve pins stick out a little bit. My clips needed to be shaved a little bit. They were so tight that the valves wouldn't open or close because the pins were squished by the clips. No big deal though. Two seconds with the Dremel and they slide right on and the valves are not hung up on anything.

You already got it all back together? Mine's taking 2 weeks to put back ,although with a 5month old baby girl now, I only get short spurts of time to work at it. Plus waiting on parts/ gaskets etc from the dealer etc.

BTW, Just got a 'dremel' style rotary tool. Indispensable!

Way to go!

Peter

Based on what you have done with the dremel, do you feel that if the pin starts backing out of one end, that it will lock up or restrict the movement of the valve when it makes contact with the clip?

Was that 10:30am or 10:30pm?

Those manifold bolts are a bugger to get back in before the loctite sets.

10:30 am [Big Grin] It took me about 3 1/2 hours. MD, not at all. I did a trial and error thing with mine. I shaved a little then tested it. I only shaved it enough to where there is maybe a 1/2mm of play for the pin to move back and forth. There is no way the pin is going to lock up now. The way it was before it was so tight that the valves wouldn't go up and down without putting force on them.

Frewman,

Help me!!!!!!

I had previously bolted on the manifold to the block, but I haven't connected the next pipe to the manifold before hand. Is there anyway to get that pipe on???? I already loctited the manifold bolts into the block and am not keen on getting them loose again....

Any hints? [Mad] [Mad] [Frown]

I just spent 90 minutes fighting with the stupid thing in the garage..... Arghhh!!!

Thanks,
Peter

It will go on. Just keep working with it. Just remember to get the part of the pipe in the rubber exhast coupler first and the rest will slide right into place.
