I just traded my XL800 for a new XLT 1200. I kept my ride plate and intake grate from the 800. My XLT will run 57.4mph on GPS stock. I'm going to install the plate and grate tonight. What is the next step I sould be looking at for more top end speed? Prop? I was told the Solas 12/18 is ideal for this ski, true? Anyone anyone....
Help me get faster Thanks, Kelly ![]() |

Kelly,
Take a look at my mods. I was running just about the same top end speed as you are. With the Level 2 kit from Island Racing, the difference in the ski is night and day. |

Get in touch TEAM W-----sure we can help you out.
After riding Johns XLT with the level 2 kit i was very impressed that the "big barge" felt the way it did----the ski did not feel like a 3 seater-strong out of the hole and good top end---were going to work on getting this ski into the 70's with the single pipe with a few more mods and a prop change. |
