I noticed last weekend that if the ski sits for more than 5 mins. I continuously have to play with the throttle for it to take off. If I give it even half throttle from an idle it wants to kill, let off and it idles fine. After I ride a bit it's fine, no problems on take off. If I turn it off for more than a few mins., I have to go through the same process again. What gives? To lean on the bottom maybe, or would it do it constantly if I were to lean? Any feedback will be appreciated.

I would adjust in your low speed adjusters about a 1/8 of a turn and see if that cleans it up.

I just thought of something else. Does your ski bog at all on full speed turns?? I had this problem with my GP800 when I first got it. It would bog after idling for 5 seconds and it would bog on hard turns at full speed. It turns out that my needle and seats were warped, leaking, and needed to be changed. Cured all the problems on mine.

Do you still have the cat-con installed?

When you say sit for 5 minutes.. does that mean with the engine off?

If the answer to both these questions is yes, then your cat-con is most likely causing a vapor lock condition due to the high heat output of the cat-con after you shut it down.

I second MDKOCHE thoughts. I pump my throttle about 3 - 5 times before I start it and havent had the problem since. Use that accelerator pump to your advantage.

I would also make sure your idle speed is at 1350 rpms as well. If its to low it can lead to that problem.

I leaned the lows an 1/8th, will ride tomorrow and see if it fixed the problem. I don't have the cat, replace it with an S2 and now have a D-plate installed.

I was noticing on the accelerator pump that the screw can be turned in more. Should I screw it in some more to allow more fuel at WOT? Thanks for everyones help. By the way I have a stageII but no CDI. I also have a D-plate and I'm turning 7230 rpms with a speedcut 14/20 to a 12.5/19. Do the rpm's sound about right? I just had Eric repitch the prop to a 13/20 b/c I was cavitating a little out the hole and wanted more top end. I just hope nothing was wrong with the tac when I got the 7230.

There is a one way valve inside which consist of a ball and a spring. When corrosion kicks in you know what happens. At that point you do not have that extra squirt of fuel needed for the hole shot. Replacement I think is about $200.00+.

Heck for that money you better rejet.

I have seen this mostly on salt water run ski's.
