Saw that you live in CO. and ride at 6100 ft.just have a question about carb settings,my ski is a 97 gp 1200 stock expect for flame arrestors and primer kit ,what should I turn my screws (highs or lows) at my elevation, about 4500 to 5200 ft. I have adjusted my highs 2 turns out and left my lows at stock settings, she hesitates until I feather the throttle and then good to go (still have some hesitation on the low end), I would appreciate your help and maybe your knowledge. thanks
I have a similar topic right now, your pop off may be a little to high or you can increase pilot one size.I would try lowering pop off first if you can,the pilot size theory comes from tuning sleds in the winter at our elevations you decrease mains but increase pilots for off idle response.

Mike it sounds like your low end screws are too far in(lean).. Try choking it a little wile you punch the throttle from idle. If this helps back the lows out!!
