The only race I ever lost on the river to a Sea Doo was my waveblaster 2 the other guy was on a 1997 XP. I got beat pretty bad as I should have. I bought the GP1200 the following weekend. Problem solved.
My friend with his STXR and I on the GP1200 were harrassing some guys on RXDI's. They wouldn't race. Why won't they race their skis if they are so fast?
Makes no sense to me. Maybe they were scared because they have had bad past experiences.

Forrest Gump, I'm going to tell you this one more time. I always claimed that my modded GP800 will stick with a stock gp1200. Is that too difficult for you to understand??? There is no way that a stock GP800 will stick with a GP1200. My God the stupidity is getting thick in here.

Maybe because they didn't care??? I'm not those guys. I've raced enough GPR's to know what I'm talking about. Like I said before I've never lost to a Stock GPR. The one modded GPR I raced we were dead even. The simple fact that the valves close makes it a dog. I'm surprised you guys believe you can beat an RX-DI.

If you get on the glass you will probably eeck out the rx, but how often are you on glass? The porposing hurts the gpr, fix that with plate mods or xl noz. and your speed drops. The 99gp will probably run faster in the chop since it doesnt have the valves, just keep it from porposing. Sounds like the two ski's are rated same top speed.
I've spent more time on an RXX than you have spent on your RXDI and I have plenty of friends who own RXDIs for their wifes. The hulls (RX and RXX) are identical in every dimension.
NOW EXPLAIN TO US AGAIN ABOUT YOUR RXDI PROBLEM THAT YOU HAD WHEN YOU FIRST PURCHASED IT
I'll make sure I copy the thread you put on SEADOO.net when you need to clean your SEA DOO rave valves for the first time too.LOL

When do you need to clean your RAVE valves for the first time????

You can't read, can you? So I'll repeat for the autist, you (frewboy) always talk about your modded GP800, but now we're talking about a slightly modded GP12 against a DI you cry about "stock to stock" comparision, I was just trying to highlight one of your numerous paradoxes, and you answered offering me one more, thank you for making my point. And BTW, yes, I remember you crying about the DI being a POS, what happened? You new friends (if you have such thing) don't accept you if you are negative about seadoo? 11

Koochy, you know you love the RX-DI! You know your chops get all wet when you see one go by your GPR. You love the looks of them and you feel bad you made the wrong desicion on Ski's. You wish you had the acceleration, the comfort, and the reverse. You wish you had the range.

Never had a problem with my DI. #11, I wouldn't talk about friends. You don't seem to have one. he he he!!!
If you were talking about the SC 4-Tec I would value your posts. My friend with the STXR hooked up with one. It was a rolling start about 30 mph. The STXR got about a length on him for awhile then the SC went on by. I didn't have my GPR there that weekend I took the GP. The SC 4-Tec guy wouldn't race from a stop. My friend was egging him on to go to the lake and line them up he wouldn't do it. We wanted to see how the SC 4-Tec was off the line.
I would have taken my first Sea Doo beating since 98 if he would have went to the lake. My friend was about 200 yards in front of me when they started racing so I couldn't get in on it.
I have beaten stock GPR's with my GP. The rider is 50% of the game.
Your just banking on the weak holeshot of the stock GPR's and nothing else. More power to you.
Yamaha does have some issues they should have fixed back in 2000. Maybe it bothers you that the RXDI just doesn't have the potential. I bought my Yamaha knowing most of the problems going in. Fixed them no big deal.
I'm not a Sea Doo hater. Give that big SC 4-Tec a couple years and I will definately consider it.

Potential for what??? The RX-DI is already where I want it to be at. It's the king of all ski's. It does everything well. 62mph is just fine with me. I don't need to go 85mph on a wave runner. That's not my thing. Acceleration, top speed, fuel economy, reverse, comfortable, great looking. These are some of the characteristics of the RX-DI. The GPR is lacking all of these except the dismal top speed. It's sad the GPR with such a bigger cc can't do anymore then the RX-DI with one less cylinder. The GPR in my book is just flat out pathetic all around. No offense.

I just took a large dump! It smelled bad!!! There's absolutely nothing any of you can do about it!
Good luck with your superior ski. I'm glad you live in a different state than me. It would be horrible if I had to be constantly whipped on by the under estimated superior to all RXDI. I would probably either buy an RXDI or just give the sport up.
I am starting to get the feeling that you aren't really happy with your RXDI and that you feel a need to constantly try to bash other peoples skis to validate your ski in your mind. Reverse. Come on.
I could see you crying in psychologists office as he unravels the real underlying problems.
Its called "GPR envy"

I took my RX-DI out yesterday and had a big smile on my face. All I could think about is how happy I was that I didn't buy that mistake of a ski, the GPR. Even the guys at the dock couldn't stop looking at how awesome my ski is. I think it's the other way around Spud. You dream about having an RX-DI. I've never even thought about a GPR. I laugh at them when I see them on the water but that's about it. By the way, I just got my Wave Eater clips in! Sweet! Another $100 in parts for my POS 800 power valve nightmare. Gotta love Yamaha!

Yes you did ! Frewman you came here and bashed that RX-DI of yours. I think it went something like this. "I can't believe i bought this ski, it's a piece of junk and i'm taking it back to the dealer and i'm getting my money back!"

Actually I would buy the Honda 3 seat turbo, the STXR or maybe the SC 4-Tec. I need a three seater.
If I was getting another 2 seater guess what? I would get the GP1300R and I would spend a thousand dollars fixing what Yamaha should have fixed, but when I was done I would be out whipping up on people as I do now only about 10 mph faster than you instead of 8.
All an RXDI is, is a regirgitated GSXL. They did make it look better, but thats about it. They had to market it towards woman and children since it isn't a competitive musclecraft so they added reverse.
I will give Sea Doo a thumbs up on the SC 4-Tec. I hope they don't have major quality problems. That could really help push the sport forward.
I've been to the races at the Oceanside pier 4 times now. Its a rough water course through the surf. Why don't I see any RXDI's there. Must be a well kept secret. Its all Kawies and Yammies with one diehard on an XP. They all must be missing something to pass up on such a wonderfull craft.

sc 4 tec.......might as well drive a boat. Ya, I said drive. At which point do these big *** ski's become a boat? There so **** big, you drive not ride them. Might as well buy a bass boat, they do 80-100 mpg stock.

How come all I ever see at the lake or the River are GTX's, RX's, and RX-DI's???? Simply because they are a 100% better rec ski then the GPR. Some people care about racing. Maybe 1% of all wave runner owners. That's basically most of the people on this board. The rest don't care about that. That's why they own RX-DI's. P.S. I've never seen a woman driving an RX-DI. Saw a woman on a GPR yesterday. AHHH AHHH AHHH!!!!
