Just when you think your back on the water and just barely after breaking in the rebuilt engine after the powervalves blew it up to the tune of almost 1000 bucks, The middle muffle is cracked. It probably has been for some time. The oem number is: 66V-14721-00-8P MUFFLER 2 1 $642.95
If anyone knows where I can get it much cheaper please let me know or my season is done. I am TIRED OF THIS P.O.S. YAMAHA!

That muffler is cast aluminum right? I remember my welding career from long ago and I think its almost impossible to weld it. Or can it? Take it to a professional shop?
650 bucks is just too much to pay.

I paid $200 + $50 shipping for a used one from a grp, it's the same pipe. You have a 99 right? They changed the right side front mount from a rubber bushing to an aluminum one in 2000 or 2001.
