Can some one give some insight on this one. I have a ’00 GP1200R that has the stage II kit installed. I seem to be consuming an ridiculous amount of oil (like 1 gallon of oil per 1-2 gas fillups). What is normal? My 97 GP1200 consumes a FRACTION of what the GPR is using. Also, what would cause a ski to consume too much oil?

They use alot of gas so in turn they consume alot of oil.Its a package deal.
I go through about 1 gallon every 2 fill ups or so.I can empty a full tank about 3 hours of 85% WOT.I spent about $70.00 2 weeks ago riding hard with 91 octane and 1 gallon Yamalube.That was 2 tanks fuel.

You're supposed to get 3 tanks of gas to 1 tank of oil. Oil tank is 1.45 gallons, so if you're using 1 gallon of oil for every 2 tanks of gas you're right on. It does get expensive.

Gary is correct. It is almost scary how much oil it uses compared the 02 XP, at least with the Yami I know to always just add oil, with the Seadoo it uses so little that I almost forget to check the oil.
