I had lots of problems with stock fuel pick-ups so I bought and installed Riva Triple Pick-Up, it works better, but is there a resistor or some way I can make the bloody low fuel alarm go off? Thanks TD
I will take it that you did not use the electrics that were on the stock sending unit? If not and you don't care about it take the 2 pin connector and cut it off. Next short those 2 wires together and plug it into the stock wires they were before. This should shut the alarm off.
If you don't want to cut I know someone was thinking of making the stock electronics work on the triple pickup but never heard anything else after that.. You could try to measure what the resistance is thought with it plugged in. There is a float in there that needs to stay up all the way in orde to shut off the low fuel buzzer.

GPR cop, i hit a huge wake from a boat and when i landed, i stopped working. Some people say im lucky to have it not work.In a way though, if somone else rides it,they wont know if the oil is low or the fuel is low if they are not familiar with it.Im pretty stingy when it comes to parting with it though!

I decided to extend the on line with a piece of fuel hose to match the lenght of the reserve. now had two lines on and reserved going directly to two fuel filters
and from there going to the carbs at two different locations.
I bypassed the fuel **** switch and now have dual filtered feed to the carbs and retained my fuel level and low fuel warning signal. If one filter gets dirty and alters my fuel delivery I still have another one that can flow all of the fuel needed.
If you want to stop the beeping you will need to measure the resistance of your fuel level unit upside down and go to Radio Shack and get a resistor of the same capacity and install it to simulate a full tank of gas.
NO NO NO.... Put them back together and either modify the triple fuel pickup to accept the stock electrics or measure the resistance and go to Radio Shack. You have now gotten rid of all warning what so ever..
