ACtually I have to ship it back to Jet Trim since the one thing that I was afraid of happening happened.. I dropped the seat on the back side and tore it. Now it didn't happen 6 months after I got it back from them but actually 3 weeks after getting it back from them. Maybe I will have them ship it to you and then you ship it back to me. I will give you shipping info and acct to use if you want to give it a try.. Or I can send it to you first if you want..

Let me know.

Pat,
Thanks for the offer. I think I'm just going to send my extra seat to them and just do it!

I've been thinking about it for weeks, and when I saw your seat (again), I realized what you had done with the Jet Trim adjustment.

Do you remember the cost?

thanks, again!

I believe it was like $225 or $250 for the cover and mod.

I have just created a triple cooling set up by converting the RIAV dual cooling pump strainer to a triple by adding an additional 90* brass fitting.

I plan to tkae these directly (1 for each manifold) to each of the 3 cylinders, this will supply water cooling to the cylinders and the head. I will re rout the head water exits in to the triple pipe water inlets (triples now get pre heated water ex heads). I will put on the stinger filters.

This is basically what happens for the cooling on the STXR/ Ultra pipes, by the look of it anyways.

This would get rid of the need for the "christmas tree" set up.

Any thoughts?

Cheers

Peter

What is a "christmas tree" setup?

Got an Idea!
Why not Go a step further and run both, (1) a line from the water block, and (2) a line from the head then into the pipe. These lines would enter a "Y" splitter with a valve control to adjust how much of each water line enters the pipe. The Pipe would still have the restrictors in place for tuning the volume

The advantage is, if you have a triple pipe boa that hits 7850-7900 when water temps are 80-85 deg. you will not want much of the 130 deg. head water entering the pipes.

If you wanted to you could add a thermal coupler to the line of each pipe to aid in adjusting the water temp entering the pipe.

What do you guys think?

The "christmas tree" is the 6 way spliter with the filter in it that comes with factory pipes. it sends un filtered water to the manifolds and filtered water to the pipe cooling inlets.

O.k. to the top with this one here... I was going crazy because I knew that I had those pics somewhere and then remember them being posted after I originally got them from Fercho. Well the IJSBA site took them down so now I can not look at them again. Does anyone have them since I want to take a quick look at something since I am in the process of putting my boat back togher. I want to look at something before I have to tear it back down again. I want to make sure that I can run just my stock cooling line and no need for the Riva dual cooling kit.. I was going to take my stock line into the 3 way splitter into the exhaust flanges which would then spit out of the head into my pipes and then exit the pipes out the back.. I just wanted to make sure that it was only a 1-3 water inlet and 3 overboard pissers that I needed. This whole rebuild has been a nightmare and only want to do it once since I already had to tear my motor apart after it was together.. [Mad]

Anyone.. Anyone.. Anyone.. Also for those that have thought of doing this or have done this with 3 seperate cooling lines, what are you doing when you ride in the ocean and need to flush your ski? I am not planning on making a custom adapter to split the water line from 1-3 to run water through all the cylinders..

Not the answer you are looking for....

I take it to the river the same day. But, this is the only way I know of to completely clean it out. It makes it easier to clean the ski out as well from all the mist.

Plus, the glass river is cooooool.
