From what i can see there is a bilge pump that is operated by the vacume of the jet(needle pointing into nozel) and a small pickup inside on the starboard side just below electronics under exhaust. Does this thing actually work? Is this really what it does?

Thanks in Advance...

Brad,
Yes, the oem bilge system has been used for over 16+ years on jetskis and works just fine. It does'nt hurt to stick your hand down there and remove any trash or "stuff" that accumulates there from time to time. Bolts, zip ties, paper and general gunk.

Hope that helps,
Mike

There is also a small duck bill system inside the OEM siphon(sp?)which can block and has been known to tear.

It has a connector to undo to get to it.

Cheers

I still reccomend that you install an electric bilge pump.

definatly install electric if you jump waves

The OEM CANNOT get rid of the water unless you are Hauling A$$ in a straight line.
