I don't agree about the Ultra, stock it is faster. Mod for mod the GPR will beat it, imo. Plus the Ultra is HIGHLY unreliable when modded to the extreme.

Kawasaki has by far the best and more reliable engines in the industry, modified or not, they're far ahead of Bomby and Yamaha since those darn PV engines. It was about time they decided to make a good hull.
Yamaha USED to build strong engines, they don't anymore, and even in these times, Kawasakis were already more reliable.
So what are you talking about?

11,i can tell you are very knowledgeable about skis but here lately all you every do is bash the GPR.why is that?i mean all skis have there short comings but to listen to you the GPR is a POS.not a flame just an observation but you can take it like you want to.

Looks like 11 is on the wrong board.
BTW, yesterday my tigershark was able to pass an ultra. Yea, the ultra had gotten a hold of bad gas and he was only able to do about 30 mph back to the dock. But I passed him and even offered to tow him, but he said he could baby it in.

What I am talking about is warranty claims at my local dealer are about 2 to 1. ESPECIALLY modified. Just like the first guy (publicly) to break 80 on an Ultra went through no less than 12 pistons. I am not trying to bash Kawi, but a Yamaha is far more reliable. Look around, beaches, rentals, and in your local dealer garage. Make sure you compare apples to apples. Don't say ex. "my STX D.I is more reliable than my buddy's stage II GPR".
