I have decided upgrade from my 2001 GPR to a 1300R. I should be able to make the switch by the middle of next month. It is just to tempting seeing the reveiws about the 1300R hitting 72+ with the Riva Stage2 kit. You all know there is still more MPH to get beyond the Stage2 kit with all the little tweeks here and there we all know of. I can't wait. Although I must say one thing is for sure. I will be removing all the orange stickers as soon as I get the ski!!! So I guess the Riva Yamaha sticker kit will also be added to MY Stage2 kit. [Smile]

Its about time to see what MPH we can get out of the new 1300R anyway.

The 1300R is definitely a good deal over the 1200R (at least for people who don't need to race it).
Now slowwww, if you can afford it, KEEP YOUR GP, it's an awesome fun hull for wave jumping, if you can't, then get a used Blaster or a SJ one the side of that 1300R, because even though it's fast, you may want to take a break and have some fun.....

Thanks guys, 11, I have a 2001 GPR, not a GP. However, I like what I see surfacing for the 1300R already. I mean single pipe ski, fuel injection, and in the 72-73 range already with bolt on parts. WOW, We have not seen the top numbers yet for this single piper. I say it will be 75+ easily. We will see. [Wink]

Liquid-

I was going to do the same thing, peel the stickers off and put on the Riva decals as soon as i got it. But the orange doesn't look so bad in person! In pictures it looks horrible. You might end up liking it like me!

I had the same plan for the stickers, until I saw them in person. They actually look pretty good in the sun. I used orange (with purple border) registration numbers.

Yeah but I am not telling anyone around here, including all my friends that I will have the Riva Stage2 GP1300R. They will think it is still my gp1200r. [Razz]

My wife won't let me [Frown]

Just don't let your friends look under the hood!

I was thinking the same thing. GP800R stickers... [Big Grin] [Big Grin]

I will have it within a week or two. I am going to remove the stickers but for other reasons also. My other half has no idea I am getting the new ski. I will replace the one on the trailor at present with a 1300R. No stickers and it will look just like the one I have now.... [Razz] [Razz]

Am I bad or what?

I just took delievery of my 1300 and have seven hours on it. I like the orange and I think that it's the best looking boat out there.
