What exactly is involved with this modification? I have a 01 GP1200R. Is it worth the $60? Or should I just buy a new ride plate? Anyone have any experiences with it? Thanks!

The groupK ride plate mod consist of milling the mounting pads on the top side of the ride plate on approximately slightly greater than a 2 degree angle. When the plate is reinstalled, the rear of the plate is higher than stock at the rear. This gets more of the ski out of the water, thus less drag and up to a 2mph gain in top speed,ON GLASS WATER. It does increase porposing on rough water. Hope this helps.
