What will a stock STXR run on flat water? I am looking at trading in the Blaster for a new boat and give the XLT to the wife. Im intrested in the R12X, STXR as well as the 1300R.
Thanks,

The only negative I know of is that it is hard to make it go faster than 70...you'll need tripple pipes........I've seen numbers in the 62 - 64 range stock....mostly the lower part of that range though. It is a VERY quick and good handling ski though......

The STXR doesn't have a good range on a tank of gas. I can only get 10-11 gallons in mine even though it has a 14 gallon tank. Although, it may be a fuel pickup issue. That translates to like 55-60 miles on a stock ski and like 50 on a modded single pipe.
There are some reports of foreign endurance racers having front motor mount hulls probs.
The stock sponsons suck. That's about it.
Like Quin said, its defnitely not the glass water speed king like the Ultra or GPR, but it handles those skis pretty well in the chop and on the buoy course. It pretty quick stock and gets reall quick with mods. (Yes MDKOCHE, not as quick as the RXX in stock form ) I think stock ones (03) run like 61-63. I dig mine above all else, but its ride/handling seems to be an acquired taste for most people.
