Did a compression test on my ski today (98 gp1200)with some bad results:
1st cyl: 120 2nd cyl: 0 3rd cyl: 120
What would cause me to lose all compression in one cylinder? Ski still runs pretty good, a little rough though (obviously). What price range am I looking at to fix the problem?

Seized piston. You'll need a top end job. If the head is ok then you probably won't have to completely tear down the engine to check the crank. Probably $600.00-$800.00 US. providing the head and crank are ok. **** happens.
