my advice is to take the presently offered yamaha extended warranty offered free of charge instead of the $500 rebate also offered.

Then negotiate your best price with dealer knowing in advance you are taking the 3yr warranty. Then save some money over the next 2.5yrs and if you're lucky enough not to have a meltdown BUY the R&D's and install 3mos before warranty is up. During the disassembly of the valves if you see evidence of valve hitting piston then haul it to the dealer for warranty work..give them the RD parts and tell em to use them instead and pocket the diff.

If you're willing to travel i hear Lake Hill has the best prices right now..do a search on this forum to get their number..could be hundreds in savings...
