Jeyed73, that site says $7199, not $6700? The way I see it, you loose around $1500 the first year you own it, so I need a VERY good deal on the 01 or I'm better off buying the 02. I'm leaning towards the 02 especially after hearing about the power valve problems.

Well, I personally got the info from experience when trying to install a mod that worked with my '00 and wouldn't do nothing on my '01. Found out the '01 CDI counts #'s quite a bit faster than the '00. Hmmmmmmm...nuttin like modern day technology getting faster every year!!! Smile

Susan, what do you mean- counts#'s faster? what is different about the cdi box? the curves r different? or something else?

Todd as far as I know they are different internaly but they carry the same part number. Apparently the 01 CDI processes the information sent to the servo motor for power valve positioning faster. I understand that they are interchangable. There was a problem with controllers that were developed (to be added) for 00 GPRs that did not work properly with 01 GPRs, But is the CDI as a part is replaced there should not be any problems. Otherwise the Advent would probably not work on 99-00 and-01 66V engines

I have 1 GPR 1200 and 1 XLT 1200. same engine from what I gather.. Would I have the bad valves??
