Since I fitted the Riva drypipe to my Blaster(single carb), I have had a terrible vibration on the motor at low rpm's. The vibration is unseating the needle even with a pop-off of 50 PSI.
I don't know if rotating the carb 90 degrees(to prevent left-turn syndrome) has made the vibration have more effect on the seat than a normal setup.
The dribble causes the plugs to foul very easily and you have to 'bounce' the ski to get the revs up to clear the fouling.
Do I need to balance the motor or will rotating the carb back to stock help.
Someone please help me, desperately want the ski to pull cleanly with the pipe(runs perfect with stock exhaust.)!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is it possible that you may not have enough carb for your pipe setup?

How did you fit a RIVA Dry Pipe in your Blaster? We don't make a dry pipe for that model Yamaha Watercraft. Actually, we never did.

Did you purchase a Blaster exhaust system from us recently? If so it was a Factory Pipe Products model. They offer technical assistance for their products if you can't resolve your carburetion issues yourself. We too offer technical assistance, but it is primarily for Riva Performance Products.

TO RIVA CREW.
The part no. for the pipe is RY1506.
I bought the pipe new from a Yamaha dealer in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.

Thats a Stage II Waveblaster Exhaust system. Catalog says nothing about it being a Dry Pipe system. I still think you dont have the right carb setup. You are probably going to need to move up to dual carbs.

traccer,
You should receive an e-mail from our tech rep on this issue.

Thanks for the emails.
Will try the recommended way of alignment tonight, will let you know how it goes.
I took the exhaust to be a drypipe as I didn't fit the optional water injection and the header doesn't have injection points like the 'B' type header.
Thanks again

UPDATE:
Realignment of motor didn't help.
Rebuilt custom manifold, carb in stock orientation and carb sits lower and closer to engine. Barely a drop comes out now.
Ski flying now, still needs fine tuning but at least it is very rideable( as long as you hold on tight)
