just been looking and thinking since i had the pv failure. why could you not just make a pin with a head on it like a nail and cut a slot on the other side and put a c clip on the other side this way there is no possible way this pin can come out? i would make it out of stanless stell i do not see why this would not work any ideas? i can make this pin myself as i have a lathe to make them on.

I even suggested at one time just tack-welding them in place
