voodoo,
i'm turning 7310 . i would really help the rest of us to know the before and after #'s (rpms and speed). i know it's a pain, but we would all appreciate your effort if you would reinstall the d plate and let us know the #'s thanks |

mxvet, I don't own a D plate. I removed the cat con and installed the power core. Problem is I didn't have a tach last year when I was running it with the cat in and I added all of my motor mods and rideplate this spring along with the power core. I am hoping to have time this summer when I'm at the lake for a week to re-install the cat con and get some comparison numbers.

Voodoo,
My 13/19 was box stock. It could have been off on the pitch I'll never know I sold it to a forum member last summer. I heard some horror stories about removing the washer. People couldn't get their impellers off the shafts. I'd leave the washer in and maybe try a 14/20 depitch. I have just witnessed speeds and rpm's a lot on this board and with my skis. Its not like changing rear end gears in cars. I have noticed increases in speed at the same rpm's with the same impeller by changing rideplates, trim tabs etc. There is even talk about the water being fast or slow. If a hull had 0 drag I wonder just how fast a 13/19 impeller would push it heck maybe 100 mph. Someone has the answer. I don't have the time to figure it out. Thats why if you are maxed out rpm wise you can still gain some more speed if you can get more hull out of the water, of course you get to a point were the ski simply isn't fun to ride anymore (have to have glass water, porpoising, etc.) If you get a chance look at Wet Wolfs graph it helps explain, but there are quite a few variables in it as well. |
