I had the single bar on my single pie and did not like it. A 3 degree nozzle, shimmed ride plate and mech trim tabs were my best seup. I had a Nujet impeller which I am sure is not the best for rough riding.
A 12 or 14 vein. I can not answer that question for you. Since I have not tried them.

There is no comparison between a Magnum pump and a stock pump... If you want ultimate hookup then the Magnum is the way to go... Just remember you will loose some of that top end. I did an ocean race with my magnum on there and it was a night and day difference. When you can come back into shore and just glued to the water with out a problem then that is impressive to me..
Next time out will be with triples and mechanical trim tabs.. Boy can I not wait for that day to come....
Hey Fercho you wouldn't happen to have the instructions for the mechanical trim tabs would you? If so can you scan them and send them to me or fax them?

The 3* nozzle and pump cone combined with the stock ride plate will reduce much of the bounce in the chop but you will loose 4/5 mph on top end on a single pipe GPR. Still trying different combos to see what works best for all conditions. rp
If you have the HP, then use the riva pump shoe and intake grate with the 14 vane magnum pump. The scat-trak 3deg nozzle and steering nozzle with the interchangeable rings to fine tune the pump will help also. Ross

Pat I got them on a PDF file but it is 17 megs in size. I need a different e-mail than Hotmail to be able to send it to you. I do not thik that Hotmail will hold so much info.
Three degree nozzle, R/D ride plate in combination with the 3rd generation (thick) trim tabs. The thick tabs allows you to recover quicker from the bouncing. Sure, you are going to loose top speed, but honestly, who is running 70mph Kawi's in cc locally? Best to look for a 66-67mph boat that stays hooked and accellerates hard.
There is no substitute for the magnum pump, set back or not. With these components, you will be able to negotiate turns much better and take the Kawi's as you accellerate out of the turns.
Salty
this thing is killing me!!!

The stxr has about a 12inch longer lentgh than a gpr, a better intake area, better pump, better ride plate, lighter hull, dollar for dollar the stxr is a better boat.
We have an stxr, stock apart from a r&d ride plate radar'd at 70 mph.
I have a magnum pumped stage 2 RIVA GPR that gets smoked in rough water by the STXR, my GPR is no slug, we lose no top end by using a 12 vein magnum 13/19. To beat a STXR, I have dropped the cash for tripples & NOVI's.
Cheers
