I know probably most of you would figure this out but.... When installing R&D freelow you MUST rotate the outlet tube to 45 deg down from 90 deg to make it fit properly.. or wait xxxx days for the Riva freeflow kit. Just a word to the wise for the 1300 stage II guys.. Just got back from a local lake with the complete stage II kit installed. A little help on the ECU settings... G-6/Y-5/R-2/RPM-5.5 GPS72 73.2-73.6 4 Passes with 4 bars. Cloudy about to rain and about 80 deg. Note( no k&n flame arrestor / air inlet removedfrom arrestor housing and hooked to right side fresh inlet hose.

Yes the girdle kit was installed, only because the local yam dealer (ACTION) said that was the only way they would provide any warranty on the ski.

David, i saw a post from TJ-Race (Tim judge) on wich he explain to board member Yamama from Spain that this free flow exhaust system increase this boat midrange power BIG TIME do you agree with him about this? Thanks Ray

Ray,
The ski did pick-up mid-range quiet a bit. The hole shot was also improved. It sounds awesome. I installed the plate and freeflow at the same time and also removed the Riva sponsons and reinstalled the stock sponsons (all the way up). It was the RIVA plate and i still haven`t had the skeg milled off(that`s next). The big difference was adjusting the EFI contoller. Set at Riva recommendations the ski surged at the middle and top end. After a couple of turns of the screw WOW there it went.I hope everyone won`t just install it and go there`s alot to play with there.I still haven`t got the k&n but now don`t` know if I want it. I`ll try and post some pics of the air intake set-up. Might be a little chancy if you play alot with water over the hull, but seems to work great and sounds pretty cool too! [Cool] Thanks, David

FYI - Our ride plate is completely different from R&D's. We started from scratch and designed a functional ride plate that will bolt right up without the use of shims (washers) to clear the extended pump on the GP1300R.

dchat1300r,
Excellent numbers. Not everyone's settings will be the same. We offer good starting points for average conditions at sea level for our Stage I & II Kits in the installation instructions. We hope to have our Free Flow Kits any day now. There have been delays in the tooling for the pre-formed silicone hose. Mostly the price!! [Razz] Trying to keep the cost down so it's affordable is all. Thanks for the feedback.

You said the free flow sounds good. I'm looking to make my 1300 louder. Is it a nice difference sound wise? I have a TDR waterbox on my 991200 and it screams with that pipe on. Did you notice a big sound difference with it, or a little sound difference? Thanks. Mike

NJGR1200,
Yes, it is a good bit louder and sounds crisp. Yes I have the power core installed, don`t know what kind of difference in sound it made cause I still had the suppression hook-up when I made that mod. This kit has come to me in pieces, as they where released.
Ray,
Yep you got it right. The ski now is turning in the 7220-7240 range.Time to find another 1.4mph. I`ll find it somewhere. Thanks, David
