I just installed a new head and cdi on my GPR. I have the pump out for some work and am waiting for it to be finished. Can I do a compression test on the motor without the shaft, impeller, etc? How about running it on the hose? I want to check everything out now so I can just drop the pump in and go. Thanks.

Can not see any reason why not. Just make sure nothing can snag on the coupler.
