I have a 1999 GP800 that needs to have the choke plates removed to install a primer. It is completely stock. Do i ned to remove the pipe to remove the carbs?. Also, does the carbs have to be removed with the intake plate, or can they be separated?.
Thanks in advance

Exactly!!! Don't remove the choke plates unless you want to destroy your engine. The gp800 is hard to start. You are just going to have to live with that. They are all like that.

sweet! Smart move. Why sell it anyways?? You're not getting that much money for it anyways how these things depriciate like crazy. I would just keep it. The fun factor you get out of it is a lot more then $3K.
