What have you done to your carbs? Can you describe the insulator?
You cant/shoudnt run flame arrestors unless you have removed your catalitic converter. The D-plate is a good cheap mod, you might even be able to find one used for about $40 from someone on this site. Get a pump plug kit ($40). There are numerous posts on this topic. It will reduce cavitation and increase acceleration. You can also pull the sound supression off and remove the screen from the stock flame arrestor. If you feel like geting a little more technical and feel confident in your mechanical ability get the t-handel kit ($70) for your carbs and start trying to tune your ski. You can follow that up with a re-jet if you feel confident in your tuning abilities. There are many post on here recomending new jetting set-ups. A top loader and impeller are also great additions but cost a little more. Check this site and e-bay for great deals on used parts. |
