I just found and joined this forum. Great info and discussion. Anyway, I was really pushing the XP to ride on its side last weekend and filled the hull. Is it possible for water to enter through the vents that pass through the seat? I quess they don't like to be ridden on their sides. Thanks for any info.

Yes, it's possible. It's more likely that while "pushing" it to lean over that far you moved the seat breaking the seal. The seats flex more than you think.
Be sure to wash the inside down real well (using Salt-Away if you rode in salt water) and then spray "everything" down with WD-40. Don't soak everything though. You only need to apply enough to lightly coat everything. This will help wick away water and/or deposits. Be sure to leave the seat off if stored indoors or pull backed some on the craft if outdoors so it can dry out inside. RIVA CREW Please post and ride responsibly!!! |
