gpr1300 it takes 1hp to push 3.95lb of ski
rxp it takes 1hp to push only 3.67lb of ski
Although the rxp is heavier the hp makes up for more than the weight difference

What does HP have to do with weight?

The 96XP weighed 433lbs and had 110HP. That equates to 3.93lbs /HP useing your thinking, But it is much slower that the 1300.

My Chevy 3500 Turbo Deisel has over 300hp and its not very fast. My 190 HP Tacoma can kill it. HP is not everything.

by the way the 790lb is not everthing either i was just trying to justify the weight difference that the fabulous yamaha boys keep predicting that will make the rxp slow

SmileWe run 500hp cat motors in all our tractors and they will run 115 mph when not cut back with 45000 pounds. A nascar has 800 hp and will not pull 5000lb thats fast . its all how the hp is distributed gear torque etc .

power to weight ratio will help one thing, acceleration. the sheer weight of the rxp in conjunction with the hp will hurt the gpr in the rough. enough said. im curious for it....

i have difficulty walking sc-4tecs in the rough with my single pipe big bore, it takes the calmer water to crush em, more recently i ran a supercharged honda with my triple pipe, same situation, the heavier honda cut the waves much better then the gpr, took the smooth to crush him. maybe if i had mechanical tabs it would have been different, maybe it would have been different with the shredmaster on....time will tell for that one.
